Cool Stuff 3: Automatic Posts to Twitter Account?

1:32 am in Meta by Media United

Okay, this one has a question mark in the title because this post is the test. If all goes according to plan, this post will be linked from a tweet that will appear in the @mediaunited tweet stream as soon as the publish button is pressed. Keep your fingers crossed!

Cool Stuff 2: Multi-touch Enabled Mobile Site!

1:12 am in Meta by Media United

Visit the Media United blog on your iPhone or Android and you should have a great mobile experience. Bookmark it to your desktop and it will look just like a real app. So cool.

(Actually, it hasn’t been tested on Android yet, but it works great on iPhone. If you have an Android device can you give it a try and report back?)

Cool stuff 1: Connected to Facebook!

The site is now publishing to the wall of its very own Facebook app. This is pretty cool stuff.

Don’t be shy. Go there and click “like.”

Media United Dot Org Alpha 1.0

7:38 pm in Meta by Media United

Welcome to MediaUnited.org. The site is in being alpha tested just to make sure it basically works. And so far, it seems to basically work.

Please sign up and take the site for a spin, but be aware that since it’s in testing mode anything you post might be deleted before the site goes live. (Really, it probably won’t, but you never know.)

If you see anything that isn’t working, or you have a suggestion for a feature that the site should have, then please join the Media United Planning and Development group and post it in the Site Bugs and Feature Requests
forum topic.

The geeky details of the site are that it is running on WordPress, using the BuddyPress plugin to add social networking features. Additional plugins power the jobs listings, events and integration with Facebook and Twitter.
